Obi is a wide belt that helps fasten the kimono to the body by wrapping it. In most cases, the purpose of the band is for decorative only.
"Fukuro-Obi" is a belt that is worn in formal scenes. "Taiko (drum)" is tied twice, using gold or silver threads or with a tightly woven pattern.

"Nagoya-Obi" is a belt that is worn in casual scenes. "Taiko (drum)" is tied one roll. "Nagoya-obi" can be tightened more easily than the "Fukuro-Obi", and it can be said to be a very handy belt that can be tightened to a slightly formal place by using different materials and patterns.

"Hanhaba-Obi" is a band that is worn in a casual scene. The width of Obi is adjusted to suit half of "Fukuro Obi" and "Nagoya-Obi". There are many ways to tie and you can enjoy it.
Many widths are around 15 centimeters.
Wearable type : Kimono(Informal)
"Onetouch-Obi" is commonly called "Musubi-Obi" or "Tsukuri-Obi". The usual obi is very difficult to tie and takes a long time, but since this Obi tie is completed, it can be dressed very easily. Basically "Onetouch-Obi" wear it with Yukata or Summer Kimono.

"Heko-Obi" is a casual scene that wears no fabric strips. You can enjoy wearing comfortably according to "Yukata", "Komon" and "Tsukuki". As it is soft, the ease of connection is attractive.

"Kaku-Obi" is the most used Obi in Men's kimono.
Many are about 8-10 centimeters widths.
